8. Open the manifold door.
9. Let the system cool down for 30 minutes.
CAUTION - BURN HAZARD The ion source cartridge may be hot, so use caution.

10. Disconnect the filament wires from the source interface board.

11. Grasp the Vespel cap and gently remove the Advanced EI ion source from the ion source
block. See Figure 57.
