13. Pull the vacuum interlock handle down.
Note Be sure to fully extend the tool so that you do not crush the ion volume with the
ball valve.

14. Grasp the barrel of the tool and twist it to the left so that the alignment groove moves
toward the left screw. Then pull the tool out of and away from the instrument.
