30. Disconnect the foreline pump power cable from the System Mech Pump connector on
the back of the instrument.
31. Disconnect the foreline vacuum hose from the foreline pump.
32. Place the foreline pump on a bench.
WARNING LIFTING HAZARD: Use a proper lifting technique with the foreline pump
because it weighs approximately 22 kg (50 lbs).

33. Drain the old oil.
WARNING HAND AND CHEMICAL HAZARD: Wear impermeable laboratory gloves when
changing oil.

a. Remove one of the oil filler plugs.
b. Remove the drain plug and allow the oil to drain into a suitable container.
c. Dispose of the spent oil according to local environmental regulations.
d. Replace the drain plug.
34. Add fresh oil.
WARNING FIRE HAZARD: Use only factory-approved foreline pump oil. Using
unapproved foreline pump oil may result in a fire or explosion.

a. Add oil to the oil filler plug opening halfway between the MIN and MAX level
