18. Slide the source holder, which is in the VPI MS Toolkit, onto the end of the ion source
cartridge. The opening of the source holder is designed to accommodate the alignment
wings of the ion volume.

19. Twist the holder to disengage the ion source cartridge from the tool.
20. Set the ion source cartridge and holder on a clean surface.
