Precautions for Correct Use
Precautions for Correct Use
• If you have never executed magnetic pole position estimation, a Magnetic Pole Position
Estimation Error 3 (Error No. 61.2) will occur when you select the magnetic pole position
restoration method. This also applies if you select the magnetic pole position restoration
method with the result of magnetic pole position estimation cleared. The result of magnetic
pole position estimation will be cleared when the Magnetic Pole Detection Method (3920 hex)
is set to 0 (Not specified). However, the result will not be cleared if an EEPROM-related Error
(Error No. 36.0 to 36.2 or 37.0 to 37.2) occurs.
• If you are using a non-absolute type external encoder, a Magnetic Pole Position Estimation
Error 3 (Error No. 61.2) will occur when you select the magnetic pole position restoration
method.
• The result of magnetic pole position estimation will be stored in the Servo Drive. If you have
changed the combination of the Servo Drive and the Linear Motor, the Servo Drive cannot
control the motor successfully because their positions are misaligned.
If you have replaced any of the Servo Drive, Linear Motor, and external encoder, execute
magnetic pole position estimation once before using the magnetic pole position restoration
method.
