Use wheel lift equipment only when rear towing
is necessary. This is the only recommended
method of rear towing Wrangler/YJ models.

Shift the transmission and transfer case into
Neutral.
Raise and tow the vehicle at a maximum speed
of 48 km/h (30 mph). Keep towing distance
under 24 km (15 miles) whenever possible.
