Refinishing A Repaired Welded Body Panel
After the metal repair is completed, remove the
paint from the repaired area with a grinder.
Apply body filler as required and finish to obtain
the proper contour.
Wash the repaired area with soap and water.
Next, wash the repaired area with solvent (e.g.,
Ditzler DX-330, Sikkens M-600 or an equivalent
product).
Feather edge the broken paint areas with a du-
al-action sander.
Clean the repaired area with DuPont 3812 En-
amel Reducer or an equivalent product.
