Management IP Address

To view and manage network parameters, you set up the management IP address (see below) so that
you can use the following management methods:
Command Mode
Global Config
Privileged Exec
User Exec and
Privileged Exec
Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP)
SSH
Telnet

Purpose
This command adds a new user (account) if space permits, along with
the user's password. The user name and password can each be up to
eight alphanumeric characters in length.

configurations will be lost when a power cycle is performed on the
switch or when the switch is reset.
In a stacking environment, the running configuration is saved in all units
of the stack.
