ip vrrp preempt

Use the ip vrrp preempt command to configure the router to preempt a lower priority
master for the virtual router ID. Use the no form of this command to disable preemption for the
virtual router instance. By default, preemption is enabled.
Syntax
[no] ip vrrp vr_id preempt

Example
To specify that virtual router 1 preempts a lower priority master:
G450-001(if:Vlan 2)# ip vrrp 1 preempt
