Malfunctions in driving mode
7.6 Troubleshooting
Malfunction
Engine does not start –
Starter turns
The truck crane drives at
a maximum of 20 km/h
(12 mph)
Coolant temperature too
high
Engine cannot be switched
off using the ignition key
Motor brake (engine
retarder) cannot be
switched on
Engine/transmission diag-
nostics plug not working
The engine performance is
reduced

Batteries insufficiently charged
Fuel tank empty
Air intake inhibitor closed
Fuse F4/6 blown
A locking procedure is not yet
completed
Coolant level too low
Oil level in the transmission too
low
Outer surface of heat
exchanger dirty
V-belt of coolant pump at
engine loose
The fan wheel on the engine
does not turn
Malfunction in the electronics
Fuse F4/1 blown
Fuse F1/2, F4/7 blown
The coolant is too hot or
another malfunction.
The engine is not switched off
in order to drive on to the next
place where it is possible to
stop.
