INSPECTION PROCEDURE 22
The GDI ECO lamp does not illuminate.
If the GDI ECO lamp does not illuminate after turning on the ignition switch, the
causes listed in the right column are suspected.
MUT-II Data list
16 System voltage (Refer to P.13A-75.)
Measure at engine-ECU connector B-28.
Disconnect the connector, and measure at the harness side.
Earth terminal 3.
(Ignition switch: ON)
OK: The GDI ECO lamp illuminates
Check a burned-out bulb.
OK
Measure at combination meter B-01.
Disconnect the connector, and measure at the harness side.
Voltage between 49 and earth
(Ignition switch: ON)
OK: System voltage
Check the GDI ECO lamp circuit, and repair if necessary.

Probable cause
Burned-out GDI ECO lamp bulb
Open circuit or short-circuited harness wire in the
GDI ECO lamp circuit
Malfunction of the engine-ECU

Check the engine-ECU power source and earth circuits.
(Refer to P.13A-65, INSPECTION PROCEDURE 25.)

Check the following connector: B-28

Check trouble symptom.

Replace the engine-ECU.

Check the following connectors: B-01, B-02, B-19, B-29

Check trouble symptom.

Check the harness wire between the combination meter and en-
gine-ECU, and repair if necessary.
