INSPECTION PROCEDURE 37
EGR control solenoid valve system
The EGR control solenoid valve is controlled by the negative pressure resulting from
EGR operation leaking to port "A" of the throttle body.
Check the EGR control solenoid valve.
(Refer to GROUP 17 - Emission Control System.)

Measure at the EGR control solenoid valve connector A-101.
D Disconnect the connector and measure at the harness side.
D Voltage between 1 and earth (Ignition switch: ON)
OK: System voltage
OK
Measure at the engine-ECU connector B-54 <M/T> or the
engine-A/T-ECU connector B-113 <A/T>.
D Disconnect the connector and measure at the harness side.
D Voltage between 6 and earth (Ignition switch: ON)
OK: System voltage
OK
NG
Check the following
connector: B-54 <M/T>,
B-113 <A/T>
OK
Check trouble symptom.
NG
Replace the engine-ECU <M/T> or engine-A/T-ECU <A/T>.
