2.22 CONTROLLER OPTIONS

2.22.1 OVERVIEW

This machine has I/F card slots for optional I/F connections and SD card slot applications.
After you install an option, check that the machine can recognize it (see "Check All
Connections" at the end of this section).

I/F Card Slots

Fax slot [A] is used for the Fax Option
I/F slot [B] is used for one of the optional I/F connections (only one can be installed):
IEEE1284, IEEE802.11a/g, g (Wireless LAN), Bluetooth, File Format Converter, or
Gigabit Ethernet.
The I/F Slot [B] is only used for D038/D041 (H Model).

SD Card Slots

D037/D040:

Slot 1 is used for one of the optional applications: Printer Enhanced Option, PictBridge.
Slot 2 is used for service only (for example, updating the firmware).
