Error Message
The Add Pair (Paircreate)
operation failed because the
emulation type of the master
journal group was different
from the emulation type of the
restore journal group.
The operation to add journal
volumes failed because of the
mirror status of the specified
journal group.
The Add Pair operation failed
because the license of
Volume Retention Manager
was not installed in the
remote subsystem.
The specified volume cannot
be used as a journal volume
because it is used by Parallel
Access Volume.
A journal volume cannot be
added because the capacity
of shared memory is
insufficient.
The Add Pair operation or the
Resume Pair operation failed
because the timer type of the
master journal group was
different from the timer type
of the restore journal group.
The specified volumes or the
volumes in the specified
journal group were deleted.
However, the blockade of the
volumes failed.
Record the volumes that could
not be blocked.
Clear the Preview list.
Call HP technical support to
block the volumes.
The specified volume cannot
be registered because the
volume has failed to recover
from blockade. Retry the
operation.
If this problem persists, call
HP technical support and
request to format the volume.
Recommended Action
Check the emulation type of
the master and the restore
journal group.
Check the mirror status of the
specified journal group.
Install Volume Retention
Manager in the remote
storage system or change the
access attribute of the
specified primary data
volume to Read/Write.
Check whether the specified
volume is used by
Compatible PAV.
Call HP technical support to
install additional shared
memory.
Check the timer type of the
master and the restore journal
group.
Record the volumes that could
not be blocked.
Clear the Preview list.
Call HP technical support to
block the volumes.
Retry the operation.
If this problem persists, call
HP technical support and
request to format the volume.
