POWER STEERING FLUID
With the engine idling, close the valve of the SST and ob-
serve the reading on the SST.
3RZ−FE and 5VZ−FE (2WD) Engines:
Minimum fluid pressure:
7,845 kPa (80 kgf/cm
5VZ−FE (4WD) Engine:
Minimum fluid pressure:
8,336 kPa (85 kgf/cm
Do not keep the valve closed for more than 10 se-
conds.
Do not let the fluid temperature become too high.
With the engine idling, open the valve fully.
Measure the fluid pressure at engine speeds of 1,000 rpm
and 3,000 rpm.
3RZ−FE and 5VZ−FE Engines:
Difference fluid pressure:

With the engine idling and valve fully opened, turn the
wheel to full lock.
3RZ−FE and 5VZ−FE (2WD) Engines:
Minimum fluid pressure:

8,336 kPa (85 kgf/cm
Do not maintain lock position for more than 10 se-
conds.
Do not let the fluid temperature become too high.
Disconnect the SST.
Connect the pressure feed tube.

Install the air cleaner and 3 bolts.
Bleed the power steering system.
