This register sets the Tq period of CAN. The CAN baud rate is determined by (Tq period × number of Tq's in one bit).
Tq period = (BRP + 1) / (CPU clock/2)
CAN transfer baud rate =
Number of Tq's in one bit = Synchronization Segment + Propagation Segment
Notes: • Setting H'00 (divide by 1) is inhibited.
• Do not change settings of the CAN Baud Rate Prescaler (CANnBRP) during CAN operation
(CAN Status Register CRS bit = "0").
