6.1 Outline of the Internal Memory
The 32180 internally contains the following types of memory:
• 48-Kbyte RAM
• 1-Mbyte (1,024-Kbyte) flash memory
6.2 Internal RAM
Specifications of the internal RAM are shown below.

Notes: • Immediately after power-on reset (for the power-on case in which VDDE also goes up from GND), the value of the
RAM is undefined.
• If the RAM is reset during RAM backup (power for only VDDE is on), the RAM retains the value it had immediately
before being reset.

By using the Real-Time Debugger (RTD), data can be read (monitored) or written to any area of
the internal RAM via serial communication from external devices independently of the CPU. (See
Chapter 14, "Real-Time Debugger.")
