Digital Engine Controller (DEC)

The digital engine controller (DEC) reacts to high level commands sent by the oper-
ator control panel (OCP). With the OCP acting as the system master, the DEC
directs the individual stepper motors, sensors, and/or DSP servo loops. Refer to the
flowchart in Figure 2-2.
