The dimensions are critical only if installation of the modem inside the Avantra is desired. The
modem mounting bracket inside the system is sized to fit the above mentioned dimensions exactly.
**The electronics inside the Avantra (DEC PCB) provide a power source for a built-in modem. If a dif-
ferent power source is needed for a particular modem, an external AC to DC adapter will be required.
