b. Disconnect the X503 plug (level and feedback).
i.
Measure the voltage between pins 1 and 9. The nominal value is
10 VAC.
ii. Reconnect the X503 plug.
c.
Disconnect the X500 plug (temperature sensors).
i.
Measure the voltage between pins 1 and 6. The nominal value is 5
VDC.
ii. Reconnect the X500 plug.

4.2.3 Checking the Battery

1. Remove the EMC shield of the LCB before checking the battery.
2. Connect a DVM across the battery terminals.
The reading should be 3.0 V. If the voltage is lower than 2.5 V, the battery
should be replaced. Note that the normal lifetime of the battery is approxi-
mately 10 years.
WARNING:
the display with the on/off switch. Turn off the main power before
opening the electronics box!

Voltage remains in the system even after you turn off
