To illustrate the network operations, an imaginary company is used. The
company's main office is in Houston, and there are branch offices in
Toronto, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Each branch office uses a Meridian 1
switch and a Meridian MAX node. The main office is the NAC site.
Figure 1-2 shows all three branch offices receiving a normal load of calls.
Incoming calls are not overflowed between sites because each branch office
has enough agents and equipment to handle the load.
