• Tachometer, the engine speed signal is transmit-
ted by the PCM and determined from the crank-
shaft position sensor signal.
APPEARANCE AND LIGHTING
Black instrument faces have a blue-green backlighting when the exterior lamps are on. Digital displays also have a
blue-green backlighting. A control dial to the left of the speedometer adjusts the lamp intensity. Digital displays acti-
vate when a door is opened, when the ignition switch is in the ON/RUN position, or by pressing the lamp intensity
adjustment knob when the ignition is off.
CONTROL BUTTONS
The Instrument Cluster has two control dials which are
to the left and right of the speedometer face.
• The right control dial (2) is used to adjust the
time. Refer to the Owner's Manual.
• The left control dial (3) is used to regulate the
instrument illumination, activate the display illumi-
nation, reset the trip odometer display, and oper-
ate the FSS maintenance display.
