*BATTERY VOLTAGE INDICATOR INOPERATIVE (CONTINUED)
INDICATOR CIRCUIT OPEN
INDICATOR LAMP
GENERATOR
INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
For a complete Instrument Cluster Circuit Diagram, (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/INSTRUMENT CLUSTER - SCHE-
MATICS AND DIAGRAMS).
Diagnostic Test
1.
GENERATOR OUTPUT
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Instrument Cluster C1 harness connector.
Note: Check connectors — Clean/repair as necessary.
Start the engine.
Measure the voltage of the Battery Voltage Indicator circuit at the
Instrument Cluster harness connector.
Is the voltage above 10 volts?
Yes >> Check the Battery Voltage Indicator Lamp. If the lamp is
OK, replace the Instrument Cluster.(Refer to 8 - ELECTRI-
CAL/INSTRUMENT CLUSTER - STANDARD PROCE-
DURE).
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST.
No >> Go to 2
