Alarm display

At the MTC level of the MAP, the alarm code FSP, preceded by a number,

appears under the EXT header of the alarm banner. This code indicates an

external frame supervisory panel (FSP) alarm.

The letter M below the alarm code indicates the alarm class is major. The

number under the EXT header of the alarm banner indicates the number of

frames affected by the problems.

One or more frames in the office has a power problem fault or a cooling unit

The type of fault and the type of frame that contains the fault determines the

fault's effect on subscriber service.
