GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This service feature provides the ability for a calling station which has dialled a busy station to a dial a
CALL BACK code. When this has been done, the calling station will be rung as soon as the busy station
becomes available, providing the called station is also free.
STATION APPLICATION
All stations
OPERATING PROCEDURE
To set CALL BACK:
1. Dial desired station number; receive Busy Tone.
2. Momentarily depress the hookswitch for Special Dial Tone.
3. Dial CALL BACK code; receive Service Set Tone.
4. Hang up.
5. When desired station becomes idle, calling station will be rung. Upon answering, called station
will be rung.
To cancel CALL BACK:
1. Lift handset; receive Dial Tone
2. Dial CALL BACK cancellation code; receive Service Set Tone.
3. Hang up.
SERVICE CONDITIONS
1. If CALL BACK is not answered by calling station within 30 seconds, ringing will stop and CALL
BACK will be automatically cancelled.
2. As with certain other CLASS OF SERVICE - INDIVIDUAL features, CALL BACK may be assigned
via Feature Class.
3. CALL BACK to a busy station cannot be established if that station is in the LINE LOCKOUT mode.
4. CALL BACK to same station can be activated from plural stations.
5. When the calling station is called back, STATION HUNTING and CALL PICKUP programming will
be ignored.
6. There are 128 stations per the system which may simultaneously use this feature.
7. CALL BACK cannot be set from a station which has been set CALL FORWARDING - ALL CALLS.
