GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This service feature allows an Attendant to hold an incoming call, page the called party, and connect
the two after the called party has answered the page.
STATION APPLICATION
DESK CONSOLE
SMART CONSOLE
OPERATING PROCEDURE
To page:
1. Place the incoming call on hold by depressing HOLD key.
2. Seize an idle loop.
3. Dial the PAGING access code or press the PAGING key (SMART CONSOLE); receive continu-
ous Ringback Tone for 1 second.
4. Page the desired party.
5. Press RELEASE key.
OR
1. Place the incoming call into CALL PARK - SYSTEM by pressing CALL PARK - SYSTEM key.
2. Press the PAGING key; receive continuous Ringback Tone for 1 second.
3. Page the desired party.
4. Press RELEASE key.
To answer:
1. The paged party dials the PAGING answer code; receives Ringback tone.
2. Attendant and paged party converse.
3. Attendant presses LOOP key of held outside call.
4. Attendant presses RELEASE key to connect both parties.
To cancel the page:
1. Press the PAGING key while paging.
2. The page is canceled.
SERVICE CONDITIONS
1. A maximum of 10 routes can be provided with paging trunks.
2. Voice paging equipment is customer provided.
3. One paging trunk will be assigned to each route.
4. DK00 card (or built-in DK00 in MP) is required for turning on a paging equipment.
5. The maximum number of digits that can be used as a paging access and answer code is three.
6. The PAGING key of the DESK CONSOLE is assigned to use Trunk Route 50.
