GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This service feature allows those line circuits which are used for data transmission to be protected from
interruptions such as ATTENDANT CAMP-ON, BUSY VERIFICATION, EXECUTIVE RIGHT OF
WAY, and ATTENDANT OVERRIDE.
STATION APPLICATION
Not applicable
OPERATING PROCEDURE
No manual operation is required.
SERVICE CONDITIONS
1. When the Attendant is restricted from camping-on to a DATA LINE SECURITY station, all attempts
will result in Reorder Tone.
2. When any of the other features listed above are restricted, Reorder Tone will be transmitted.
3. This feature will be activated by system data programming (See CLASS OF SERVICE-INDIVID-
UAL).
4. The DATA LINE SECURITY feature functions on originating and terminating calls.
5. The DATA LINE SECURITY cannot prevent disruptions from interfering with data transmission when
the disruption occurs 'outside' the system.
6. The following connections are restricted when DATA LINE SECURITY is active since transmitted
tones are involved in their operation. All bridge-on attempts directed towards station with a DATA
LINE SECURITY call in progress result in Reorder Tone.
• ATTENDANT CAMP-ON WITH INDICATION
• ATTENDANT OVERRIDE
• BUSY VERIFICATION
• BOSS-SECRETARY OVERRIDE-D
• CALL WAITING-TERMINATING
• CALL WAITING-STATION
• EXECUTIVE RIGHT OF WAY
7. System based CALL FORWARDING-BUSY LINE/DON'T ANSWER will not occur for Data Line
Class Station.
