GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This service feature allows a station user dial access to voice paging equipment, and connects both par-
ties automatically, after the called party has answered the page.
STATION APPLICATION
All stations
OPERATING PROCEDURE
To page:
1. Calling station dials paging access code; receives continuous Ringback Tone for 1 second.
2. Calling station pages desired party.
3. Calling station remains off-hook or hangs up.
To answer:
1. Called party dials paging answer code.
a. NON-DELAY OPERATION
Party paged is immediately connected to the calling party.
b. DELAY OPERATION
Party paged receives Ringback Tone.
Calling station rings.
Calling station goes off-hook and is immediately connected to paged station.
SERVICE CONDITIONS
1. A maximum of 10 routes can be provided with paging trunks.
2. Voice paging equipment is customer provided.
3. One paging trunk will be assigned to each route.
4. DK00 card (or built-in DK00 in MP) is required for turning on a paging equipment.
5. Paging access and answer codes are assigned in system data programming to correspond with each
route.
6. The maximum number of digits that can be used as a paging access and/or answer code is three.
7. A page waiting to be answered is automatically cancelled after a predetermined program duration. See
VARIABLE TIMING PARAMETERS feature for other selectable timing choices.
8. C.O. trunks are used as interface circuits to the paging equipment.
9. Loop signalling is the recommended signalling type.
10. Refer to the PAGING TRANSFER feature.
