Text Messages (Instant Messaging)
Note: You can use the transmission of the display name to send text
messages during an internal call (see Transmission of the Display Name).
The PBX supports the sending and receiving of text messages via SIP
(according to RFC 3428).
You can use this function on the following VoIP end devices:
VoIP system phones and standard VoIP phones from Auerswald/
FONtevo
The sending and receiving of text messages takes place via SIP via the
instant messaging app (optional, see manual of the phone).
IP DECT phones from Auerswald
The handsets COMfortel M-100, M-200, M-210, M-300 and M-310 only
support the receiving of text messages via.
Standard VoIP end decives of other manufacturers
Prerequisire for the support of the text message function via SIP is the
activated SIP-Komfortpaket (SIP convenience package) (optional, see
Activation).
The sending and receiving of text messages vis SIP depends on the end
device (see manual of the end device).
