DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE FOR SELECT MONITOR COMMUNICATION

9 CHECK HARNESS/CONNECTOR
BETWEEN TCM AND DATA LINK CONNEC-
TOR.
Measure resistance between TCM connector
and data link connector.
Connector & terminal
(B56) No. 24 — (B40) No. 6:
10 CHECK INSTALLATION OF TCM CONNEC-
TOR.
Turn ignition switch to OFF.
11 CHECK POOR CONTACT IN CONNEC-
TORS.
Step
Is the resistance more than
1 MΩ?
Is TCM connector inserted
into TCM?
Is there poor contact in
control module and data
link connector?

Automatic Transmission (Diagnostics)
Check Yes
Go to step 10.
Go to step 11.
Repair poor con-
tact.
No
Repair harness
and connector
between TCM and
data link connec-
tor.
Insert TCM con-
nector into TCM.
Replace TCM.
