Unable to make an HTTPS connection
Use the following section to troubleshoot HTTPS connection problems.
1. Ensure that the server key and certificate files are present in the DUT /flash/.ssh
2. Verify that HTTPS is using port 443 (default). ERS 8800/8600 7.1 does not support
3. Verify the reachablility of the box by ping.
Note:
If you are using Mozilla Firefox as your web browser, ensure the Permanently store this
exception box on the Add Security Exception screen is unchecked when adding EPM as
an exception. If you are unable to connect using Firefox and you have not unchecked this
box, delete the certificate from the Servers tab in the Firefox certificate manager.
Unable to connect to DUT through EDM
Use the following section to troubleshoot problems connecting to DUT through EDM..
1. Verify that you have enabled web server on the ERS switch.
2. If you are attempting to make an unsecured connection (using HTTP), use the
Troubleshooting
folder. The server key will named <host>.key, and the certificate will be <host>.cert.
If these files are not present, an error "SW INFO Verify/Load Server
Certificates & Private Key" will appear on the ERS console.
Keys and certificates are generated automatically during system boot up. If they are
absent, they can be manually generated using any generally available OpenSSL
tool and loaded into the DUT/flash/.ssh folder.
