Use log files and messages to help perform diagnostic and fault management functions.

Configuring the system log

Use the system log to track all user activity on the switch. The system log can send messages
to up to ten syslog hosts.
Procedure steps
1. In the navigation tree, open the following folders: Configuration > Edit >
2. Click System Log.
3. Select Enable.
4. Configure MaxHosts and Header as required.
5. Click Apply.

parameters.

Variable
Enables or disables the syslog feature. When enabled,
this feature sends a message to a server on a network
that is configured to receive and store diagnostic
messages from this device. You can configure the type
of messages to send.
Specifies the maximum number of remote hosts
considered active and able to receive messages from
the syslog service.
