backup call-mode <role>
Use the backup call-mode command to specify whether the configured backup interface answers or
originates (or a combination of both) backup calls. Use the no form of this command to return to the
default value.

Default Values
By default, backup call-mode is set to originate-answer.
Functional Notes
The majority of the configuration for the SROS backup implementation is configured via the backup PPP
interface configuration commands. However, the numbers dialed are configured in the primary interface.

Answers and backs up primary link on failure.
Answers and backs up regardless of primary link state.
