BVI I
NTERFACE
To activate the Bridged Virtual Interface (BVI) Configuration mode, first enable integrated routing and
bridging via the bridge irb command (refer to bridge irb on page 331) at the Global Configuration mode
prompt. For example:
ProCurve>enable
ProCurve#configure terminal
ProCurve(config)#bridge irb
Next, enter the interface bvi command and a specific interface number that corresponds to an existing
bridge group at the Global Configuration mode prompt. For example:
ProCurve(config)#bridge irb
ProCurve(config)#interface bvi 1
ProCurve(config-bvi 1)#
