3. INSPECT OIL PUMP DRIVE SHAFT THRUST CLEARANCt:
U1ing • feeMtr gauge, measure the drive shaft thrust clear-
ance between the thrust ptete and eoUar.
Stendwd thruot cleoronco: 0.08 - 0 . 13 mm
(0.0024 - 0 .00!1 1 ln .l
Moxlmum thruot cleoronco: 0 .3 mm (0.012 ln.l
If clearance is greater than maximum, replece the thrust
plale and/or collar.
4. IF
NECESSARY, REPlACE THRUST PlATE AND COUAR
(a) Using SST, remove the thrull plate and collar.

6. IF NECESSARY, REPLACE OIL PUMP GUIDE BUSHING
(al Drive out the bushing from the O<Jter side of the block.
