Door lock Control Relay
INSPECTION OF DOOR LOCK CONTROL RELAY
INSPECT DOOR LOCK CONTROL RELAY CIRCUIT
Disconnect t he relay and inSPect the connector on witt
harness side as shown in the chart below.

Turn door lock control sw itch to LOCK.

Tum door lock conttol switch to UNLOCK or
No continuity
OFF.
Turn LH key unlock switch on.
Continuity
Tum LH key unloc:k switch off.
No continuity
LH door lock knob PY'ht<l. No continuity
LH door lock knob pulled.
Continuity

R H door lock knob pushed.

No continuity
RH
door
lock knob pulled.
Continuity
Turn unlock waming switch and LH door
Continuity
courtesy switch off.
Tum unlock warning switch and/o r door LH
door courtesy switch off.
No continuity
Turn RH key unloc:k switch on and/or door
Continuity
lock conttol switch to UNLOCK.
Turn RH key unlock switch o ff and/or door
No continuity
lock control switch to LOCK or OFF .
If circuit is correct as specified, replace the relay.

INSPECTION OF DOOR LOCK SOLENOID
INSPECT SOLENOID OPERATION
(a) Connect the positive
(+)
lead from the battery to
terminal
A-1. Connect the negative
(-)

t erminal A-3. Check that the solenoid operates locks

(b) Check t hat there is no continuity between terminab

and
8-2.

(c) Connect the positive
(+)
lead from the battery to
terminal 2.

negative(-) lead to terminal
A-3. Chec. k -that t he solenoid operates locks direc1ion.
(d) Check that there is continuitY between terminals
8·1
and
8 ·2.
If t here is no solenoid operation, replace the solenoid.
