5. REMOVE MAIN SHAFT FROM UPPER BRACKET
(a)
Using a soft jaw vise and snap ring pliers, remove the
snap
ring.
(bl Pu ll out the main shaft from the bracket.
6.
DISASSEMBLE T ILT STEERING SUPPO RT AND
COLUMN BRACKET
(a) Remove the two nuts, bolt and retainer.
(b)
Take out the collar and release pin.
(c) Remove the tension spring and take out the tilt pawl.
(d) Remove the guide pin bolt, support bolt and shim.
(e) Using a hammer,
r~move
the serration bolt and tilt
lever.
