3 . ADJUST THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR
tal Loosen the two sensor screws .
(b) Connect the ohmmeter to the throttle position sen·
sor terminals IDL and E1.
(c) Insert a th ickness gauge

tween the throttle stop screw and lever.
Gradually turn the sensor clockwise until the ohm-
meter deflects. and secure the sensor wlth two
screws.
(d) Using e t hickness gauge, recheck the continuity be·
tween terminals IDL and E2.

REPLACEMENT OF THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR
1. REMOVE THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR
Remove two screws and the sensor from the throttle body .
2 . INSTAlL THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR
tal Check that the throttle valve is tully closed.
(b) Place the sensor on the throttle body as shown in the
figure .
