LUBRICATION SYSTEM - Replacement of Engine Oi l and Oil Filter

REPLACEMENT OF ENGINE OIL AND
OIL FILTER
1. DRAIN ENGINE OIL
Remove the oil drain plug and drain the oil into a container.
2 . REPLACE OIL R L TER
(a) Using SST, remove the oil f ilter O ocated on right side
of the engine block).

11>1 ln119ect and clean the oil filter installation surface.
(c)
Apply clean engine oil to tho gasket of the new oil
filter.
ldl Lightly screw in the oil filter to where you feel
resistance.
lel Then. usil1g SST, tighten the oil mter an e•tta 3/4
tum.

FILL WITH ENGINE OIL
(al
Clean and i nstall the oil drain plug w ith a new gasket.
(bl Fill the engine w ith new oil API grade SF or SF/CC,
multigrade. f uel efficient and recommended viscosi-
ty oil .

4 . START ENGINE AND CtiECK FOR LEAKS
6. RECHECK ENGifiiE OIL LEVEL
Recheck the engine oil level and refill as necessary.
NOTE: Insert the oil level gauge with the curved tip point·
ed toward the engine.
