(c) Using SST, remove the pulley.

15. REMOVE BRACKET OF COOl.ER COMPRESSOR
18. REMOVE NO. 1 TIMING BELT COVER AND TIMIIIG BELT
(a) Using chalk. place a rotation direction mal'k on
the
tim·
ing belt.
NOTE: Install t he timing belt in the same direction w hen
reassem~ing.
(b) Remove the No. 1 timing belt cover.
(c) Remove the timing belt.
17. REMOVE IDLER PULLEY AND TENSION SPRING
18. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT TIMING PULLEY
Using SST and socket wrench, remove the crankshaft tim·
ing pulley.

19. REMOVE OIL PUMP DRIVE SHAFT PULLEY
Using SST to hold the pulley, remove the set bolt end
puOey.
