INSPECT CORD TERMINALS
Check the terminal• for corrosion. breaks or distortion.
Replece wire aa required.

ctiECK WIRE RESISTANCE
Using an ohmmeter. check that
the
resistance does not ex·
cead the ma><imum. Replace the cord as required.

(Platinum Tipped Spark Plug)
CAUTION :
• NEVER USE WIRE BRUSH FOR CLEANING
• NEVER ATTEMPT TO ADJUST GAP ON USED PLUG
• SPARK PLUGS SHOULD BE REPLACED EVERY 60,000 mllee

1. INSPECT ELECTROOE

using a megger !insulation resistance mater!:
Measure the insulation resistance.
Conact lnoulatlon raofotanca: More then 1 0 MO
If less than 10 MO, clean the plug. !See pege IG·61
l bl If not usi ng a megger:
Quickly race tha engine to 4,000 rpm flva times.
Visually inopect the spark plugs.
If the electrode is dry ..... Okay
If the electrode is wet ..... Clean the p lug
2. REMOVE SPARK PLUGS
