ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
1 . CHECK INJECTOR OPERATION
Check operating sound f rom the each injector.
(a)
W ith
the engine running or cranking, use a sound
scope to check that there is normal operating noise
in proportion to engine rpm.
(b) If
you have no sound scope.
you can check the injec-
tor transmission operation with your finger.
If no sound or an unusual sound
i.s
heard, check the
wiring connector, injector, resistor or injection signal
from computer.
2. MEASURE RESISTANCE OF INJECTOR
(a) Disconnect the wiring connector from the injector.
(b) Using an ohmmeter, check the continuity of both ter·
minals.
Resistance: 1.5 - 3 .0 0
