ENGINE MECHANICAL - Timing Belt
(b) Make sure that the match hole of camshaft housing
Is allgne<l witt> that of t he camshaft.
(c) Using a magnet, remove the match pin from the pin
hole of the camshaft timing pulley.
(d) Set the No.
1
cylinder t o TDC/compression.
{e) There are three p in holes
on
the camshaft and timing
pulley.
Select one overlapped hole and insert the match pin
into
it.
NOTE:
• If there is no overlapping hole. find one that is nearly
overlapped and rotate the crank.shaft s.lightty to over·
lap it, and then insert the pin.
• The crankshaft pulley angle can be adjust approxi·
mately 3° by changing the pin hole to the next
one.
(f)
Using SST to hold the camshaft timing pulley. Install
the pullay sat bolt.
SST 09278-54012
Tor-: 700 kg-em (51 It-lb. 89 N ·m)
CAunON: Do not make uae of the timing belt tontlon
when tightening the bolt.
(g)
Turn the crankshaft clockwise two times and set the
No. 1 cylinder to TDC/compreosion.
(hi Recheck me crankshaft pulley angle on me No. 1 tim·
ing belt cover after alignment of the camshaft match
hole.
