BOOY - Safety Pad
REMOVAL OF SAFETY PAD
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE TERMINAL
OF BATTERY
2 . REMOVE STEERING WHEEL
3. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER
4. REMOVE CONSOLE ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the shift lever knob. (MIT only)
(b) RemoV1! the ash tray.
(c) Remove the five heeler control knobs.
(d) Remove tho throe scr-s and heater control panel.
(e) Remove the six set sc.-s, di1eonnect

connectors,
and remove the contole upper panel.
(f) Remove the eight scr-s, d isconnect the connecton,
and remove tho conoole assembly.
6. REMOVE HOOD RELEASE LEVER BRACKET
6. REMOVE DRIVER SIDE SPEAKER PANEL
Pry loose the panel with

screwdriver and remove it.
7. REMOVE DRIVER SIDE UNDER COVER
RernoV1! the three screws,
twO
clamps and cover.
8 . REMOVE DR IVER SIDE FINISH LOWER PANEL
Remove the six screws. disconnect the four connectors,
and remoV1! the lower panel.
9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL
Remove the five tcrews. and disconnect the connectors.
Then remOV1! the cluster finish panel.
10. REMOVE COMBINATION METER
(a) RemOV1! the four ,.,_,,
(b) Disconnect the connectors and speedometer cable.
(c) Remove the oombination meter.
