FUEL SYSTEM
1. When disconMCting high fuel pressure line 1M connection,
a large amount of gasoline w ill come
out,
so observe the
following procedure.

Put
a
container under the connection.
lbl Slowly loosen the connection .
(e) Di sconnect the connection.
ldl Plug tho connection with a rubber plug .
2. When connecting the f lare nut or union bolt on the high
pressure pipe
union.
observe the following procedure.

(a) Always use a new gukot.
lbl First tighten the union bolt by hand.
lcl Then tighten the bolt to the specified torque.
Torque: 300 kg-em 122 ft-11>. 29 N·ml
!Flare nut type)
lal Apply e thin coat of oil to the flere and first tighten
the flaro nut by hand.
l bl Then tighten the nut to the specified torque.
Torque: 350 kg.c:m (26 fl.ft>. 34 N•ml
Take the follow ing l)recautio.ns when removh--o
and
install·
ing
the
injectors.
fa) Never re"Vse an
O·rlng.
lbl When placing an O·rlng on the injector, use care not
to damage
it
in any way.
(c) lubricate
the O-rin9 w i th spindle oil or gasoline be·
fore
installing - never
use
engine,
gear or brake oil.
Install the injector to the delivery pipe and intake manifold
as
shown In
the rtgure.
