siva compound.
lei Clean the valve end valve seat after hand-lapping.
13. INSPECT VALVE SI'RINOS

Using
a
steel oquare. check the squareneu of the
valve spri ngs.
Maximum allowable: 2.0 mm 10.079 in.l
If squareness is greater than ma,ximum, replace tho valve
spring.
lbl M easure the f ree height of all springs.
Fr . . height:
Intake elde 49.1 mm (1.933 in.)
Exhauat

52.5 mm 12.067 in. I
Replace any spring that is not correct.
lei Using a spring tester, check the tension of each spring
at the specified Installed height.

Maximum exhauot warpage: 0 .75 mm (0 .0296 ln. I
Maximum air Intake chamber wa.rpage: 0 .1 mm
(0.004 ln. I
If
warpage is greeter
than
maximum~
replace the manifold
or air intake chamber.
