D. PC / LAN connection
Considerations should be given for the following for PC / LAN connections.
Connecting a PC:
DtermIP/IP Enabled Dterm is equipped with 'switching hub' function, allowing the cascading connec-
tion of a PC by using the PC jack (X).
Do not connect a DtermIP/IP Enabled Dterm by using the PC jack (X).

Connecting to LAN:
Hub stack connection is recommended up to four stacks for 10BASE-T, two stacks for 100BASE-TX
(class 2).
Use the following cables for connecting to LAN:
<10BASE-T>
Category: Category 3 or higher
Maximum Length: 100 m
Cable Type: Straight-through

The duplex modes on the hub equipped on the DtermIP/IP Enabled Dterm and the destination hub must
be set to auto-negotiation. The use of full-duplex or half-duplex on the devices may cause sound loss.
E. Installing IP Interface Adapter
Be sure to turn off the power of IP Enabled Dterm when installing / uninstalling the IP Interface Adapter.
If performed without turning off the terminal, it may not start up again.
