Use ping to test reachability to the SR T. The connection is established when a reply is sent back from the
SR T.
[9] Login to SR T via Local PCPro
Login to the SR T by the account created above step.
Run the PCPro software from Program menu on the PCPro PC. In the [PCPro] window, select one of the
following:
On the Main Menu, click [System] > [Connect] in this order.
Click [Connect] icon on the toolbar.
The [Connect] screen is displayed. Select the account created above step and click "Connect" button.
[10] Release Alarm
Execute RALM command to clear the fault indication on the SR T.
[11] Change IP Address of SR T (Optional)
To adapt the IP Address or NIC card data to your network environment, use AIPA command to change
the IP Address or NIC card data. If IP Address or NIC card data is changed, use the MEM_HDD com-
mand and select "SR-MGC" in the Data Type Select in the command to save the data, then turn off and
on to initialize the system.
[12] PCPro Connection to Network
After the actual network configuration data setting of SR T (such as IP address) has been completed, con-
nect the PCPro PC to the network.
STEP 1: Change the IP address of PCPro PC corresponding to the actual network.
STEP 2: Restart the PCPro PC.
STEP 3: Connect the PCPro PC to the network with a LAN cable.
[13] SR T Connection to Network
Connect LAN1 port to the actual network by using a LAN cable.
[14] Network Connection Check
Execute ping program from DOS prompt on the PCPro PC to ensure the network connection. Verify the
IP address of SR T (ping 172.223.12.45, as an example) from the PCPro PC. When a reply is sent back
from the SR T, the connection has been established.
STEP 4: Assign the specified IP address and TCP port.
