6.2.21 LLDP and LLDP-MED
This section explains how to assign data for Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) and LLDP-Media
Endpoint Discovery (LLDP-MED) on DT700 Series terminals.
DT700 Series supports LLDP, a standard Neighbor Discovery protocol, and can exchange information
about themselves with adjacent network nodes such as IP/SIP terminals and other LLDP-capable devic-
es. It also automatically performs some network settings upon receiving LLDP packets.
With LLDP Mode enabled, DT700 Series begins to transmit and receive LLDP packets after startup. It
transmits LLDP packets from the LAN port at periodic intervals defined by LLDP Packet Transmission
Interval (

information learned from the received LLDP packet.
LLDP packets are also transmitted in the following cases that LLDP packet contents to be advertised

• The Reception Waiting Time (RX Waiting Time) has timed out.
• IP address is allocated via DHCP
• ToS value is defined by the Telephony Server.
When DT700 Series transmits LLDP packets within LLDP Packet Transmission Interval, it sets LLDP
