Backup IP
If you set the following information when substitute IP address mode is Backup IP, DT700 Series can
save the following information which has been obtained from the DHCP server in advance so that
DT700 Series can use the information as the substitute information if the DHCP server becomes out of
service in the next time.
IP Address
Subnet Mask (obtained through DHCP option 1)
Default Gateway (obtained through DHCP option 3)
DNS Server Address (obtained through DHCP option 6)
2nd - 4th Server Address (obtained through DHCP option 120)
2nd - 4th Server Port (obtained through Vendor-class-identifier option 168)
[1] The power of DT700 Series is OFF.
DHCP Server
[2] The power of DT700 Series is turned ON. DT700 Series obtains an IP address from the DHCP server.
DT700 Series operates with the obtained IP address. The obtained IP address is set for the configuration at
the same time.
DHCP Server
[3] The obtained IP address is saved as a substitute IP address in the configuration even after DT700 Series is
turned OFF.
DHCP Server
[4] The power of DT700 Series is turned ON. DT700 Series fails to obtain an IP address because of commu-
nication failure.
DHCP Server
[5] DT700 Series starts operating with a substitute IP address.
